ThingumybobWe’ve had an incredibly busy 3 months, both writing and touring. So what have we been up to?

Most of January was spent in Wales. We kicked off in Aberystwyth at Ysgol Llwyn yr Eos where the students produced a brilliant picture of a Thingumybob.

We then headed up to Ysgol Glancegin Maesgeirchen, Bangor and Ysgol Hendre, Caernarfon before having a weekend at the Take pART festival at Theatre Cymru, Llandudno. The following Monday saw us at Bishop Heber School in Malpas.

Then we nipped down to London to see our friends at Haselbury Primary School, before heading back to Wales for two weeks in Pembrokeshire working with three boys writing squads and visiting schools as well – that was a great fortnight!

February saw us writing and editing several books – more on those later – and visits to Worle, Ebbw Vale and Bedford.

There was no time for resting though – we made our way over to Bury St. Edmonds for the Federation of Children’s Book Groups conference where we saw lots of great authors (oh yes, and we ran a pub quiz!) Nice Jackets, hey!

We finished the month with visits to Dean Oaks, Wilmslow before travelling up to the North East and days at Viewley Hill Primary and the Joseph Butler campus at the Northumberland Church of England Academy. Phew – we deserved a rest at Easter having travelled thousands of miles and talked to several thousand students and teachers!
